THE fight to combat the spread of the devastating
HIV virus has been upped to new levels thanks to
ongoing clinical trials currently being carried out
by different organisations scattered across the
globe with a view to come up with effective vaccines
to guard against the virus.
In Sub-Saharan Africa, HIV prevalence
rate is reported to be at peak levels, therefore making
it imperative for more clinical trials of this nature
to be conducted.
Countries like Malawi, Mozambique,
South Africa, Tanzania and Zimbabwe which have
record levels of HIV are some of the countries
where the clinical trials sites are located.
